MDC (Micro Data Center) is positioned at the edge data computing industry, focusing on several main functions such as Ethernet services, cloud storage services, data-transfer services, online stream services, and block chain. There are several problems and perplexities in the current development of MDC, such as: diversification of equipment matching, non-standardization, complicated product  linking  methods, low stability, and limited professional requirements, complex wiring and difficult maintenance. Kotohira launched the KCS series MDC micro smart data center at the right time to solve many of the above problems, improving MDC operation safer, cable connection easier, so that a non-professional personnel can operate.

2. System Features

Kotohira KCS system application characteristics mainly reflected in: High system Integration, Centralize Communication Connection, Security Strategy Design brings high reliability. 1) High Integration

• KCS configurated the all-in-one integrated cabinet contains ATS, smart power distribution system, environmental monitoring system, precision cooling, temperature  and  humidity  control, smoke  detection  and fire-extinguisher, door access control detection etc. This design highly saves space and provides complete solution to end users.

2) Network Connection 

In the MDC system, wiring of product communication is always a big troublesome problem. such as:

• Equipment comes from different suppliers resulting in different communication protocols. This will result in time-consuming on protocol conversions and meke product and services unsustainable.

• Traditional RS485 connection method brings many hidden dangers to operation and maintenance.

• JCS system adopts the network link better solve the above problems,even non-professional personnel can operate and use.

3) Security Design

• All communication ports in the MDC system are electrically isolated for higher safety.

• Provide encrypted SSL through HTTP, SNMP, SSH and other network protocols, remote control more secure and reliable .

• Adopts dual bus-line architecture to provide redundant power supply for servers and IT equipment.

• Provides multiple architectures to achieve N, 2N, N+1 redundant configurations .

• Optional static transfer switch can ensure the reliability of the critical single power load.

4) Smart Wiring to Avoid Single Point Failure

• KCS system adopts AC and DC busbar and network busbar to avoid single point of failure. 

• Environmental monitoring system data collection can be completed by using the JEMS200 network adapter SNMP integrated monitoring and management module or the sensor port of the intelligent PDU to simplify sensor connections.

5) Standardized Structure

• The standardization of products will bring safety, higher reliability, and easier maintenance. Therefore, whether the suppliers has the overall   ability of product development, manufacturing, and service capabilities if quite critical.
